Some killer Nigel Slater recipes

Last night I made Nigel Slater’s Muscovado Hazelnut cake. It’s amazing – hardly any flour just lots and lots and lots of hazelnuts. And it keeps for ages and just keeps getting better. I cover it in dark chocolate which makes the whole thing beyond perfect. Sadly, I made it for Paul to take fishing and it’s gone!! Paul himself cooked up a storm and made triple quantities of Nigel’s shepherd’s pie with spiced parsnip mash.
